Inspired by a single oak tree in the middle of a ploughed field near my studio on a winter’s afternoon. I’ve tried to capture that wintry, yellow light on the horizon when it's almost dusk by mid-afternoon. It was a joy to celebrate both the fine detail of the tree and the strong lines of the ploughed field.
